Kiku Room, San Diego

Kiku Room is incredibly proud to welcome Maurice Fulton, a true original and one of the most influential, uncompromising figures in underground dance music. For more than three decades, the Baltimore-born DJ, producer, and musical visionary has carved out a world entirely his own. From his early work as part of Basement Boys and his productions under aliases including Syclops, Boof, and Dr. Scratch, to his celebrated collaborations with his wife, the late Kathy Diamond, Fulton's catalog defies easy classification. His music moves effortlessly between raw house, mutant disco, funk, jazz, electro, and psychedelic experimentation, always unmistakably his own. With releases across labels including Warp Records, Running Back, and his own Bubbletease Communications, Fulton has built one of electronic music's most distinctive bodies of work. His productions have become underground classics, championed by generations of DJs and selectors who value originality over convention. Equally revered behind the decks, his appearances at institutions such as Panorama Bar, alongside clubs and festivals across the globe, have earned him a reputation as a singular selector. Unpredictable, fearless, and deeply rooted in the history of dance music, his sets are as much about musical discovery as they are about movement. For a room built around a love of sound, musical curiosity, and the artists who helped shape underground culture, welcoming Maurice Fulton is something truly special. Joining us once again for their Sunday residency, FeeLIT Records will set the tone from 6 PM to 8 PM, before Maurice Fulton takes control from 8 PM to midnight for an extended four-hour journey. An artist we've admired for years, on a sound system designed to do his music justice.
