Join us this fall for another techno filled evening at UGSF! - Mossmoss (aka Mattie Bowen) is a Scottish born DJ and producer with an intense interest in explorative music. With a keen ear and eye for detail, he is an artist by nature. His wandering sets paint landscapes of light and dark patterns, textures, and strange melody. Mossmoss continues to pursue production, painting, and illustration and most recent audio works can be found on the platform bandcamp. - 888 is a producer and DJ based in San Francisco, CA. After first learning electronic music in the City, she began honing her skills playing at local bars and clubs. She eventually began her own event series called “Tone Exploration” and “texhno.exe” aiming to create a safe environment for young and up-and-coming artists of the Bay Area music scene to openly express their musical talents. Her sound breaks traditional boundaries, stemming from downtempo and experimental to hard, industrial techno. She finds excitement in exploring new styles, bringing dynamic energy to her music, which she tastefully ties together. Her sets are meticulously well thought out, intended to create a memorable auditory expedition that is energetic, heady and emotionally driven. Her productions feature hard distorted basslines with soft, dream-like melodies, a combination that provides depth and stands uniquely amongst the crowd.
