**Brian Krumm & His Barfly Friends** is a project led by Brian Krumm, front man for Chicago’s Americana-noir group The Great Crusades. The band’s debut album, *Just Fade Away*, was recorded with members of his regular band as well as a who’s who of Chicago music scene notables, with Crusader Christian Moder producing. *Just Fade Away* was released by Chicago’s Pravda Records in June 2023. Influences like Robyn Hitchcock, the Jayhawks, Warren Zevon, and Dylan shine through all the material on Just Fade Away with Krumm’s storytelling at the forefront. The single “*City That Care Forgot*,” an ode to New Orleans, debuted on Pravda Records in May 2025. **Lynn Canfield & Henry Frayne** For 4 of the last 5 decades, Lynn Canfield and Henry Frayne have conspired on music (!Ack-Ack!, Area, Moon Seven Times) and other practical matters. Henry got his start in Loadstone Destiny and Champaign Central High School’s *The Syndicate* and is the mastermind of *Lanterna*. He has most recently collaborated with Bruce Licher of Savage Republic and Scenic to celebrate Independent Project Records’ 45th anniversary. Lynn’s contributions to the canon include Crucial, Mode Zero, the B’s, Judy Gang, Shotgun Wedding, Lynn Canfield & Hot Tub Party, and The Brat Pack. Both Lynn and Henry have started but not finished various landscaping projects.
