This time, we’re welcoming BUTCH — one of the most distinctive and versatile artists on the global house and techno scene. Born in Mainz, Bülent Gürler, better known as Butch, has been building his position in the scene for years through his unique approach to music and his love for unexpected combinations. His sets can move from deep house, psychedelia and electronic music to disco, funk and powerful house. It’s hard to put him into one category — and that’s exactly what makes him so special. Butch has played at some of the world’s most important clubs and festivals, including DC-10, Circoloco, Pacha, Amnesia, Ushuaïa, Fabric, Hï Ibiza and Robert Johnson, as well as Time Warp and Sonus. His productions have been supported over the years by artists including Solomun, Dixon, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, Carl Cox and Chris Stussy. As a producer, he has released more than 500 productions and remixes across over 125 labels, including Defected, Innervisions, Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, Running Back, Permanent Vacation and Rekids. He is also part of ButRic, a project he created together with Ricardo Villalobos, and has delivered remixes for artists including Cassius, Armand Van Helden, Duck Sauce and Chris Lake.
