KISHI VOL.011 AZU TIWALINE & KUNIYUKI TAKAHASHI Supported by Liquid Drop Groove (LDG) KISHI returns to THE CASTLE with two headliners and a lineup we’ve been wanting to put together for a long time. Azu Tiwaline played THE CASTLE last December, and we’re bringing her back. Her sound is dub-infused and deep, with heavy low-end and hypnotic, open textures. It’s music made for a dark room and a serious sound system. Joining her is Kuniyuki Takahashi, the Sapporo-based producer who has been shaping deep, spiritual house for decades. His live sets blend improvisation and dance music, using electronics, percussion and flute, so no two performances are the same. It’s been a while since he last played Kobe, so this is a welcome back as much as a show. Supporting this volume is LDG, the Tokyo label and event collective. They’ve worked with THE CASTLE before, but this is our first time collaborating as KISHI. Two headliners, a Tokyo collective, and one room in Sannomiya.
