Pre- HALLOWEEN TURN UP at TV LOUNGE Friday • OCTOBER 30th The calendar says Halloween season. The dancefloor says NO TRICKS ALL TREAT. And this year, the treat is a seriously heavyweight night as Brooklyn OG MIKE DELGADO makes his TV Lounge debut, joined by Detroit royalty LADYMONIX, BRUCE BAILEY + WHERETHEFLOWERSGROW. If you know your house history, you know why this one matters. MIKE DELGADO comes from the very beginning of New York’s house underground. Long before the Masters at Work name became legendary, Delgado was in Brooklyn DJing alongside a young Kenny “Dope” Gonzalez. The two organized neighborhood parties under the Masters at Work name in the late ’80s, with Todd Terry among those who took notice. Delgado would go on to work alongside Gonzalez and Terry and build his own catalog as a producer, including releases like Sunset Park and Murder. This isn't a nostalgia set. This is house music from someone who was there when the blueprint was being drawn. And Detroit is bringing its own heavy hitters. LADYMONIX brings that unmistakable deep, disco-drenched Detroit flavor—warm grooves, soulful samples, jazz, funk and house music with enough swing to keep the floor moving all night. A Baltimore native who found her way through the Los Angeles underground before making Detroit home, she launched Frizner Electric and has become one of the city's most distinctive selectors and producers. Her Welcome 2 My House EP on Studio Barnhus was praised for its deep connection to house tradition, personality and finesse. BRUCE BAILEY needs little introduction around these parts. Detroit party royalty, house music lifer, promoter, producer and one of the city's most enduring dancefloor fixtures. Bailey has been collecting and playing since the early '80s, built legendary house nights at Club 246, Lola's, Como’s and Boscos. Bruce Bailey has shared decks with an absurd who's-who of Detroit and international house music. He remains a TV Lounge resident—and when Bruce gets behind the decks, he always knows the assignment. Then there's WHERETHEFLOWERSGROW, a sonic time traveler moving between Afrofuturism, community, house, techno and boundary-pushing sounds. Their sets are built around discovery—music that feels familiar and futuristic at the same time. We've already seen that energy land for Charivari Detroit at TV Lounge, and they're bringing it back for a night that calls for something a little different. MIKE DELGADO. LADYMONIX. BRUCE BAILEY. WHERETHEFLOWERSGROW. Four selectors. Four perspectives. One dancefloor. Halloween officially arrives at midnight. The treats start long before then. MEET AT TV.
