School is back in session and we're incredibly excited for a masterclass from Chicago's CTRLZORA over a special open to close DJ set on Friday 9/11!! Both JAMS and Dreaming have waited to find the right DJ to take us on an open to close journey and we're certain we picked the right selector for the task! CTRLZORA is an in-demand DJ, promoter, producer, radio host, and activist who uses music and art as somatic and spiritual healing for the floor and beyond. In their mixes and events, Zora spins up classic and future classic house, techno, and disco alongside Afro-diasporic rhythms and jazz-laced experimentation for a sound that is equal parts raw, soulful, and danceable. With past mentorship from the architects of Midwest dance music and curation of worldclass jockeys for their party and mix series, the Cowrie, Zora's tastes bridge the ancestral pulse of yesterday to the cutting-edge music of today.
