ONDO LAND A techno rave above the platforms of JR Osaka Station. Over 800,000 people pass through JR Osaka Station every day. On Monday, October 12, Toki no Hiroba Plaza on the 5th floor of Osaka Station City, the rooftop of the station building itself, becomes a techno rave for one night only. Beneath the vast canopy roof, trains pull into the platforms directly below. The rhythm of the city and techno, overlapping. The line-up is built around LIVE SET artists. Unlike a DJ set of finished tracks, a LIVE SET is built on the spot: modular synths and drum machines, rhythms and textures shaped in real time. The heat of the floor goes straight into the sound. Sound system: TW AUDIO. Presented by ONDO LAND, an Osaka-based music community that brings music-led experiences to public spaces and unique venues across the city. LINE-UP Daito Manabe Artist, programmer and composer. Founder of Rhizomatiks (2006), whose work fuses programming, music, visuals and physical expression. Led the projection and lighting systems for the Tokyo handover segment at the Rio 2016 closing ceremony, and has collaborated with Perfume, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Björk and Squarepusher. Foodman (LIVE SET) Nagoya-based electronic producer. Since his 2012 debut he has released on labels worldwide and played Unsound and Boiler Room. His 2021 Hyperdub album "Yasuragi Land" made Pitchfork's best of the year; the follow-up "HIKARIGASASHIKOMU" arrived on Hyperdub in July 2026. A singular sound rooted in Okinawa and Chicago footwork. NTS Radio resident. Kuniyuki Takahashi (LIVE SET) Sapporo-based producer. Releases on Joe Claussell's Natural Resource and Mule Musiq earned him the support of DJs worldwide, and Music From Memory issued his 80s and early 90s archive in 2018. Recent live shows across Europe, South Africa and Brazil, plus session performances with Henrik Schwarz and Floating Points. Improvisation meets dance music. machìna (LIVE SET) Korean artist based between Tokyo and Berlin. Known for live sets built around modular synth improvisation and vocals, she has played MUTEK Japan and Berghain, and joined Richie Hawtin's 2023 tour of Europe and the US. Contributor to Tresor's compilation series and featured on Bicep's "Hawk", with collaborations for Prada, Miu Miu and NIKE.
