In this Late Night Jazz event curated by Sarathy Korwar, Paris-based French-Iranian percussionist, composer and producer Cinna Peyghamy brings his experimental jazz to the Elgar Room as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival. His recent work focuses on real-time transformation of acoustic sounds. At the center of his setup is the tombak, a traditional percussion instrument. By combining it with the endless possibilities of the modular synthesizer, Cinna blends the boundaries between acoustic and electronic, and between traditional and contemporary. Our intimate Late Night Jazz series presents sensational music in the Elgar Room, celebrating the freshest sounds on the London scene alongside the finest in jazz standards. We have a laid-back attitude at Late Night Jazz at the Royal Albert Hall. Customers are welcome to dance, move around, sing along, and enjoy themselves in whatever way feels most comfortable!
