Oliver Smith has been described as "an excellent DJ" by Armin van Buuren, "the best thing to happen in trance" by Mixmag and "sensational" by DJ Magazine. In recent years the popular UK-based DJ and dance music producer has released scores of records and performed at some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world. Oliver’s forward thinking music is regularly played by leading DJs such as Above & Beyond, Hardwell, David Guetta, Ferry Corsten and Sander van Doorn. He was the first signing to the Anjunabeats record label and is the only producer (other than label bosses Above & Beyond) to have featured on all 13 ‘Anjunabeats Volume’ compilations to date. Oliver has also been highly successful with remixes for the likes of Arty, Mat Zo, Seven Lions, and Maor Levi - all featuring on leading radio and club play lists and flying high in the Spotify and Beatport charts. In 2018 he mixed the ‘Anjunabeats Worldwide 08’ compilation, which includes ten of his own productions. It reached the #1 spot on the iTunes dance chart in USA, UK, Canada, Australia and more. As a DJ, Oliver has played at legendary UK venues such as Ministry of Sound, The Warehouse Project and Wembley Arena; and at far flung locations worldwide including America, India, and Ibiza. He has also performed at some of the biggest festivals in the world such as Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, and Creamfields. He is also a regular presenter of Anjunabeats Worldwide Radio, which is broadcast on over 100 FM stations across the planet. \-- Genix has deep roots in dance music that have helped his production career to grow exponentially since his debut release in 2003. A very successful 2024 saw Genix release his second artist album titled YOU.ME.NOW, a stellar follow up to his debut album ‘199X’ which both led to successful global tour dates around the world from Asia, Australia, Europe & USA. The pick of album tracks were played on BBC radio 1 where Genix went on to host his own show as part of an Anjunabeats takeover. His formidable sound blends the most vibrant elements of trance, techno, house and progressive into a potent, high octane cocktail. With a penchant for in-your-face textures and sounds set against stunning melody and beautiful atmospherics, his sound is at the vanguard of the trance movement. Blending reverence for the formative sounds of a 1990s dance music upbringing with the sounds of now, his tracks are consistently among the most spinetingling in the scene. With no compromise in his style across his 200+ released singles and remixes, he is an artist who is truly dedicated to his scene. Collaborating with and remixing the likes of Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden and Cosmic Gate, he has become part of the fabric of the scene. He first found fame as a resident and promoter at legendary UK club night Passion, which was one of the epicentres of the ‘90s/2000s trance explosion. Cutting his name alongside the scene’s biggest DJs, he amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience that would give him solid foundations for the rest of his career. By the time he turned his hand to production in the early 2000s, he had a keen understanding of what worked on a dancefloor, giving him a huge head start. It quickly became clear that he was as talented in the studio as behind the decks, and it wasn’t long before he was attracting major attention. At one point he held the Guinness World Record for the longest DJ set in history, clocking in at 84 hours. He also recently broke the world record for playing a DJ set at the highest recorded land altitude, playing at Mount Everest Base Camp at 5,600 metres above sea level. He has supported Above & Beyond at epic shows across the world including at the New York Expo Centre, The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington and the O2 Arena Prague and laid waste to some of the world’s biggest dance festivals including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Dreamstate and A State of Trance.
