For the first time in São Paulo, and in his only Brazilian appearance this year, we present Phase Fatale. ABOUT PHASE FATALE Resident at Berghain and at KHIDI in Tbilisi. Few artists in the world hold two residencies of that weight at the same time. In 2018 he founded his label BITE, now essential reference at the crossing of techno, EBM, industrial and post-punk, with a catalogue that brings together Silent Servant, SARIN, Ron Morelli, Unhuman, REKA and other major names in the field. He leads BITE NITE at Berghain, the label’s prestigious showcase. Soft Crash, his duo with Pablo Bozzi, coined Italo Body Music. For Tarja Preta in particular, Phase Fatale revisits the persona of his records Reverse Fall, Confess and Scanning Backwards, for those who miss body music and industrial techno. He wears his post-punk roots with pride, and gnarly basslines, layering and sexual tension are the hallmarks of his sets. ABOUT THE LINE-UP We invited one of the pioneers of EBM in Brazil, Magal, to join the night’s heavyweight team. Magal is one of the great names in Brazilian electronic music, with a solid career and an immeasurable relevance to the underground. He has played clubs and parties across Brazil and around the world, and brings his research and his weight to Tarja Preta BLOODSM. You already know our residents and organizers well, but here is what’s different this time: LILITH, with sets steeped in sensuality, irony and intensity, her signature, brings a reading of old school EBM through the new school. Barbara Dunkel brings something new with a b2b alongside br:uno, delivering heavy techno in tones that merge industrial and raw techno. Motorflavio closes the night with an industrial techno set laced with body music. ABOUT BLOODSM AND HALLOWEEN This edition, titled BLOODSM, sets our Halloween theme and dress code: “BDSM went wrong, there’s blood everywhere!” Dress code is not mandatory, but recommended. Harness, latex, vinyl, sensuality and horror.
