Coming this October 17th to a stunning black box theater in West Oakland, Richard Haig (Beyond the Black Hole) and John Steinberg (Radiant Atmospheres, Chillits) present the record release debut of Astral Magi, a cosmological-scaled surround sound AV concert. Featuring a 13-channel sound system and 40-foot projection well, audiences of all ages will be transported across space and time in celebration of the natural world through vintage kosmische synthesizer music inspired by NASA’s “golden record” age of exploration. Forwyrd (Edge of the Wild Records) will inspire hope with epic dungeon synth & high-fantasy music capturing the weight of the sword. Lunaxix (Katabatik) will explore scientism, dreams, and magic with dexterous, operatic vocals. And DJ h__cam (Tarantella) will guide the audience via her adventurous sounds ranging from hard textured beats to cosmic atmospheres.
