Nadinho Barros was born in Rio and by the age of 7 he was already accomanying friends and family on the zabumba, by the age of 12 he was playing the guitar and by the age of 15 he developed his talents on the sanfona, completely being self taught. He joined Trio Remelexo and took part in the Festival Nacional de Forró de Itaúnas (FENFIT), a milestone in his artistic development. He began composing his own tunes and in 2009, one of his songs was used by singer Mari Mello. In 2015 Flávio José recorded one of his compositions which encouraged him to continue composing his own music. As his career developed, he opened concerts for Brazilian greats such as Dominguinhos and Elba Ramalho and accompanied artists such as Geraldo Azevedo, Raimundo Fagner and Mestre Zinho. In 2014, he formed the band Contêrraneos where Nadinho was nominated as best accordionist in Itaúnas shortly before his first European tour. More recently he has featured in film with João Gomez, appeared in a soap opera in Brazil and appeared on Frank Aguiar's programme where he showcased his work to a national audience. In 2025, Nadinho embarked on a new European tour bringing his experience, talent and unique compositions to his audiences for a second time. We can't wait to welcome him to play at Forró Family along with his band.
