Werkha presents Saturama in its new exhibition format at The Other People Place, a midweek dose of forest bathing through projection and sound. Step into an immersive audiovisual piece set in one of the lesser known landscapes of these isles, the temperate rainforest. The projections sit in the middle of the room, so you can walk all the way round them or find a seat and let them wash over you. The story is told through ambient production, field recordings, interviews, Cumberland dialect and original footage shot in Naddle Forest on the shores of Haweswater. It’s a way into a world many of us don’t realise is ours to celebrate. “As artists in 2026, plucking the strings of our shared humanity and inspiring connection to this once abundant rainforest matters more than ever. Caring for the planet starts with noticing the beauty on our own doorstep. This is our rainforest, and Saturama brings its magic and awe to the front of our shared imagination.” Tom Leah, Werkha It runs as an installation, so arrive at the start or part way through and stay as long as you like. Saturama collective will also be using the occasion to celebrate their debut music release; Projections feat. Jean Scott-Smith brings together a cinematic, electronic soundscape and an old Cumberland dialect poem. "Tammy Green" is recited by elder Jean, whose family go back 500 years in the valleys central to Saturama's immersive storytelling. The track will be released by Earth Percent (co-founded by Brian Eno) and Sounds Right - a global music initiative launched by the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live that officially registers “NATURE” as a credited music artist on major streaming platforms.
