This event will take place in EartH Theatre. Songwriters Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak have a pact, a devotion to each other and to the music of @. In their solo existence, Victoria works as a beekeeper and Stone as a self-taught computer programmer, but when they get together, they become a singular, avant-garde songwriting force. The East Coast house-show circuit first brought them into each other’s orbit. Both Victoria and Stone are longtime participants in the D.I.Y. music world, with their own separate histories in basement noise shows, warehouses, and all-ages spaces. But it wasn’t until they were living in separate cities during the pandemic that they began collaborating. Their debut record, Mind Palace Music, defined the @ formula — half Victoria songs, half Stone songs, with the two producing each other’s tracks. After the album’s release, @ received well-deserved recognition from Pitchfork, Stereogum, The Fader, and many more, and became an in-demand live act, opening for Jessica Pratt and selling out their own headline shows. Anticipation for the singular duo’s follow-up to their breakthrough LP remains at an all-time high.
