A new generation of artists is transforming electronic music, performance and club culture into an entirely new experience. From London and New York, Loraine James, Anysia Kym and 8ULENTINA bring an innovative sound that is both intense and intimate. Nothing Here Now – Transmission Interrupted celebrates trans, non-binary and female artists who are pushing the boundaries of the sonic spectrum. Loraine James With a minimalist setup and boundless creativity, Loraine James merges the glitch aesthetics of IDM with an improvisational, jazz-rooted approach. On her latest album, Detached From The Rest Of You (2026), released via Hyperdub and jokingly described by James as her “IDM pop star album”, the production is stripped back to subtle clicks, glitches and spacious arrangements. This gives her own voice an even more prominent role. Anysia Kym Producer, drummer and vocalist Anysia Kym, originally from the Bronx, belongs to a new generation of New York artists blurring the boundaries between experimental electronics, R&B and electronic music. Following the breakthrough success of Truest (2024), she expanded her musical universe with her latest album Purity, a critically acclaimed collaboration with producer Tony Seltzer. By weaving together electronic glitches, UK jungle, soul and intimate songwriting, Kym creates music that is both emotionally direct and sonically adventurous. 8ULENTINA New York-based electronic composer, interdisciplinary artist and DJ 8ULENTINA combines layered sound design with percussive intensity, storytelling and a strong sense of theatrical expression. Drawing from his SWANA (Southwest Asian and North African) background, he incorporates regional folk traditions and approaches such as improvisation and collaboration into his work. This same philosophy forms the foundation of SILLAGE, his event series and record label. KROES KROES is the project of Amsterdam-based artist Lau Breukhoven, exploring the intersection of live performance and music technology. Driven by a fascination with nuance, the work brings together technical experimentation and poetic sensitivity, revealing hidden histories and the beauty of the seemingly ordinary. sign.nah For sign.nah, music is a means of release: a channel for sacred rage and sweet chaos that sets the audience in motion. At the heart of their DJ sets is a deep love for bass-driven sounds, sharp percussion, dub and experimental club music from the Global South.
