***Hoedown Night at Shared Threads: North American Roots All-Dayer opens with a high-energy set from traditional American roots band Interstate Express, followed by a floor-filling barn dance led by Cut A Shine.*** \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ **Interstate Express** open our Hoedown Night with their trademark high-energy approach to traditional American songs and dance music. Fronted by fiddle singer **Craig Judelman**, the trio combines a love of old stories with a passion for the joy of a fiddle tune that drives like a Mercedes on the open road. They reflect the diversity of American music, and the people who brought it there, from fast banjo and fiddle tunes and early country songs to blues and ballads. **Cut A Shine Hoedown and Ceilidh Band** are a renowned London-based troupe of traditional musicians, dynamic ceilidh dancers and crazy callers determined to spread the word that the hoedown is a’happening. The band started by hosting their own London ceilidh and barn dance parties across London, from warehouses to old church halls and grand balls. These quickly grew into monster bashes and festival outings with bands and DJs. Hoedowns are fast and furious American-style dances. With a cracking live band and a dance caller who expertly teaches simple, fun moves, the main objective is to have a go and have fun. No experience necessary; it is all-inclusive and non-heteronormative. **First Half – 30 minute concert** **Interval – 20 minutes** **Second Half – 90 minutes of dancing**
