Ricky began DJing in local gay bars in Pittsburgh in 2015 and soon began promoting his own dance party, “Total Trash.” Not long after he co-formed JELLYFISH, both a party and a DJ collective, in 2017. As one half of the popular DJ duo Jellyfish, Ricky has co-organized and played events throughout Pittsburgh and beyond. As a party, JELLYFISH is a community-focused artsy sometimes-party, sometimes-rave that celebrates queer joy whether held in an alleyway, warehouse, dive bar, or even a boat dock. With sets that blend everything from italo disco, to leftfield, to melodic acid, and beyond, he’s played parties and clubs in cities like London, Mexico City, Taipei, Singapore, NYC, Bangkok, Saigon, Berlin, Bogota, and more.
