ABOUT THE NIGHT Across three rooms, Sanctuary: Descent moves through driving techno, raw hypnotic grooves, heavy late-night pressure, underground house, and flashes of release. Inspired by the Sumerian story of Inanna’s descent into the underworld, this edition invites a conscious surrender to the darker half of the year: a journey downward, inward, and eventually back toward the light. But entering the shadows does not mean leaving joy behind. Sanctuary is a place to lose yourself, but also to play, feel sexy, get strange, and dance like a glorious menace until sunrise. Your version of surrender might mean deep introspection, making eyes across the bass bins, or simply letting the music take over. This is a space built by and for queer community. A shared release shaped through sound, trust, and collective care. TICKETS & COMMUNITY PRICING Full-price admission to Sanctuary is $40. To keep the event financially sustainable while remaining accessible to people in different circumstances, we offer five advance ticket levels at the same time. Every ticket provides the same admission and experience. Choose the level that honestly reflects what you can afford. $10 Community Access Strictly limited and intended for those who genuinely need the lowest-cost option. No proof or explanation required. $20 Reduced A larger but finite allocation for guests working with a tight budget. $30 Standard Advance Our target advance contribution and the level that helps us meet the basic cost of producing the event. $40 Full Price The full value of admission and the standard price at the door. $50 Supporter For those able to contribute more. Supporter tickets help subsidize lower-cost admission, fair artist pay, and Sanctuary’s long-term sustainability. This model depends on trust. If you can comfortably choose Full Price or Supporter, your contribution helps keep the lower tiers available for someone who cannot. Lower-cost allocations are limited, so those who need them should purchase early. WHERE YOUR TICKET GOES Producing a three-room, ten-hour Sanctuary requires substantial investment. Your ticket directly supports the artists, workers, equipment, and care required to build the night properly. Sound systems and DJ equipment Custom sound by Vox Box and Pendulum Acoustics, plus professional club-standard CDJs, mixers, and related equipment across all three rooms. Lighting, scenic design, and art Lighting and scenic design by Cat Beam, with interactive installations by Astral Matter Experience. DJs and selectors Fair compensation for the local and regional queer artists guiding the journey. Staffing and operations Security, door staff, harm-reduction support, and the people working behind the scenes throughout the night. Graphic design, materials, and promotion Custom graphics by 1800RAVENOW, printed materials, promotional expenses, ticketing fees, and production incidentals. Sanctuary is independently produced and operates on narrow margins. Your ticket pays for serious sound, intentional production, properly supported artists, and a room staffed with care. A SAFER SPACE Sanctuary is a safer space, and we protect it accordingly. Racism, transphobia, homophobia, harassment, unwanted touching, predatory behavior, and deliberate violations of consent will result in removal. We approach the room as stewards: fiercely protective, deeply affirming, and grounded in mutual respect. Look out for one another. Respect boundaries. Ask before touching. If something feels wrong, tell a member of our staff immediately. THE DOOR A ticket guarantees your place in line, not unconditional admission. Guests may be refused entry for aggressive or disrespectful conduct, harassment, severe intoxication, or behavior that suggests they may compromise the safety of the room. Tickets will not be refunded when admission is refused because of conduct. Door decisions are based on behavior, not appearance, clothing, identity, body type, who you arrived with, or how you express yourself. Come kind, come aware, and come ready to respect the people around you. That is all we ask.
