About the artists: Charlie Franklin’s music is a hauntingly intimate play of Romantic Blues and Folk, carried by a voice that dances between fragility and power. Her songs are a catharsis of intuitive release, sincere confessions of love and self, driven by a delicate accompaniment of fingerstyle guitar. For fans of Laura Marling and Nick Drake, Franklin’s music echoes a timeless, bucolic world of heartfelt poetry, inspired from candlelit corners and the sanctuary of woodland. Hannah Archambault is a French-Polish musical artist, composer and performer based in London. Her music features organ drones, vocals and field recordings. She calls for an attentive and inward listening, where we ‘feel time’ through the sustained notes of the organ, textural field recordings and an experimental use of the voice. Dark, intimate and mysterious, but also raw and vulnerable - her ambient music draws from cinematic soundtracks, female laments and flamenco singing.
