Steep'd returns for our next in Sound session on September 4th at First Street Market with a special live musical performance by Palm Reading and visuals by Nandini Srinivasan. Palm Reading is the musical project from sound designer Skooby Laposky and multi-instrumentalist Charles Copley inspired by plant life and traditions of ambient music and deep listening. Palm Reading creates immersive music in collaboration with the natural environment, combining live biodata captured from plants, on-location field recordings, and acoustic instrumentation. There will be two deep-listening sessions, with social time before and after the performances. Guests will also have the option to participate in a gentle breathwork session during one of the sets to sync with the plants and the music. Tea service will run all night and is included with entry! We are currently serving a selection from MEM Tea Imports. This will primarily be a floor-based experience, and guests should plan to bring your own mats, cushions, blankets, and anyhing else that will help you get comfortable. We will have a limited supply of mats and cushions available on a first-come, first-served basis. Some traditional seating will also be available, including our community art tables.
