Bike Jesus presents two exclusive special editions of Audire, a series of curated evenings exploring the history of electronic music. In the first edition, series creator RaveBoy will introduce the roots of techno and house music. Through audio and video excerpts, he will outline the subcultural background of the key movements that preceded the emergence of the electronic dance music scene and ultimately shaped it. We will trace how these genres were defined in their epicentres on both sides of the Atlantic—in Germany, Belgium and the United States, specifically Chicago, Detroit and New York—and examine the sociopolitical context in which they emerged. We will explore the worlds of European anarchist electropunks and industrial apocalypticists, American psychedelic futurists, Black gay clubs, and the British rave underground of the late 1980s and early 1990s. The second chapter, scheduled for December 2026 (TBA), will focus on the Czech scene and its context. Each evening will conclude with an afterparty, where RaveBoy and his guests will revive the atmosphere of a bygone yet enduringly inspiring era through an old-school vinyl set. **RaveBoy** A DJ, multi-activist and co-founder of the Roots’n’Future sound system, active across the reggae-dub and freetekno scenes. A driving force behind the old-school rave revival on the Czech dance music scene, he co-founded the drum & bass festival Let It Roll and was one of the pioneers who introduced breakcore, grime and dubstep to local dance floors. He established the Messiah Komplex platform, operating at the intersection of industrial music, conceptual contemporary classical music and underground electronica. In recent years, he has focused primarily on Audire, a series of lectures and curated evenings dedicated to the history of electronic music at Žižkov’s Punctum club; Freecore Experience, a Radio Punctum show devoted to music with(out) borders; and co-organising ambient festivals. He is a member of the Lunchmeat and Bike Jesus teams. _____ Bike Jesus uvádí dva exkluzivní speciály seriálu komponovaných večerů na téma historie elektronické hudby Audire. V prvním z nich tvůrce cyklu RaveBoy představí kořeny techno i house music a prostřednictvím audio i video ukázek nastíní subkulturní pozadí zásadních pohybů, které vzniku elektronické taneční scény předcházely a definitivně ji zformovaly. Postupně si ukážeme, jak byly tyto styly definovány ve svých epicentrech na obou stranách Atlantiku – v Německu, Belgii a USA (Chicago, Detroit a New York). Nabídneme sociopolitický kontext jejich vzniku. Prozkoumáme svět evropských anarchistických electropunkerů i industriálních apokalyptiků, amerických psychedelických futuristů, černošských gay klubů i britského rave undergroundu přelomu 80. a 90. let dvacátého století. Ve druhé kapitole (prosinec 2026, TBA) si představíme CZ kontext scény. Večer vždy završuje afterparty, na které RaveBoy a jeho hosté v oldschool vinyl setu znovuoživí atmosféru let dávno minulých, ale dodnes inspirativních.
