Sweetnighter is a monthly party created by SweetNightJoe, aka Joseph Russell, in London. We bring people together to celebrate musical expression through the love of vinyl - an all-welcome dance floor where deep selections of global grooves, cosmic jazz/funk, disco, and soulful sounds collide, all strictly on wax. This month, we’re going Into the Night - a six-hour solo journey guided by yours truly, SweetNightJoe. No guests, no interruptions - just one continuous flow of rhythm and feeling from start to finish. A celebration of glow in the darker months. November is all about light in the shadows - that glow between the beats, the warmth between friends. For this edition, Joe will be taking the decks solo for six hours of vinyl storytelling, tracing threads between continents and decades - from meditative grooves to dancefloor heat, all crafted for deep listening and heavy dancing. It’s a night to settle into the groove, lose track of time, and let the music unfold naturally. TICKET INFO The party takes place in Room 1 (downstairs) @ The Jago. We highly recommend arriving before 11 PM for smooth entry - it’s £5/£10 advance or £15 on the door (subject to capacity). Entry can’t be guaranteed without a ticket. If you’re new to the night, check out the latest recordings on Mixcloud, subscribe to our mailing list, or follow @sweetnightjoe on Instagram for a taste of the vibe. Dancing is a magical and liberating ritual. See you on the dance floor.
