**It’s not personal. It’s systemic.** **Mawaan Rizwan is back with a brand-new music project, MAWAAN and the Tracksuits.** **Join them for the launch of their first single, *Nepo Babies*, as they perform live at the Sebright Arms.** Mawaan Rizwan is a BAFTA-winning actor, writer and comedian whose career spans television, film, theatre and music. In 2023, Mawaan assembled a band for his comedic track “Are You Checking Me Out or Are You Just a Racist”, performed live on Channel 4, which quickly went viral on TikTok. He has since performed at Glastonbury for the past three years and is now developing a darker, grittier musical project, Mawaan and the Tracksuits, combining punk energy, humour and urgent socio-political commentary. In Mawaan’s words, this is music “for those who are sick of the underlying dread of a world in collapse. We are a punk sanctuary to help protect your hope and aggressively pursue unity over division”.
