Modeselektor have never been particularly interested in respecting musical boundaries. For more than three decades, childhood friends Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary have combined their roots in Berlin's rave culture with musical curiosity, a taste for experimentation and their unmistakable sense of humour. Techno, hip-hop, bass music, experimental electronics - genres have never been fixed categories for them, but opportunities to bring together things that might not seem to belong together at first. The result is unmistakably Modeselektor.
