Function celebrates 30 years at the vanguard of techno with a special takeover of the room. And what a trip it’s been - at each stage in his career, Function, aka Dave Sumner, has been a guiding light. Emerging from NY’s legendary ‘90s rave culture, Sumner initially found his footing as a resident of The Limelight - the infamous venue that was an epicenter for club kids and searing, high octane techno. As the new millennium dawned, Sumner’s mature voice began to emerge on tracks like “Montage,” which foreground his singularly seductive approach to dark, brooding textures. This would lead directly to Sandwell District, his landmark collaboration with Regis and Silent Servant. The elusive collective’s output is essential listening for anyone interested in modern techno, straddling the worlds of heavy industrial-tinged Birmingham techno, spacious dubby minimalism, sinister atmospherics, raw post-punk and more with complete, intuitive clarity. When the group dissolved in the early ‘10s, Sumner began a new chapter with a Berghain residency and exceptional releases on Ostgut Ton. Soon thereafter, he relaunched his Infrastructure New York, the label he had originally founded as a young DJ, and further expanded the scope of his productions. Now, three decades after his start, there are few producers and DJs whose influence is as profoundly felt as Function’s. Simply put, modern music would not sound the same without his immaculate touch. He’ll headline with a special b2b alongside Nastia Reigel. Since her 2016 debut “Figures In Brine,” Reigel has been homed in on an evocative, moody palette that is completely entrancing. Her 2025 LP “Identity” was a standout entry on Infrastructure New York, finding a vast range within a rigorously defined palette. KHIDI resident NEUX explores a similarly stoic landscape. On her recent track “Silent,” NEUX casts a spell with a soft, slightly alien vocal performance overtop a pulsating base layer. “Can you hear me?” she asks. “ I’m going back to sleep / That’s where I want to be / Silent, silent, silent.” Juana returns to the room. The Merge resident has been a driving force in the US underground for years, pushing a vision of techno that is both rigorous and soulful at the same time. Her original productions bristle with focus, leaping out the speakers as if spring-loaded. Cormac makes his debut in STUDIO. The P-bar regular brings a unique twist to italo, disco house and HI-NRG - notably, one of Sumners’ first loves as a young DJ. Last year, Cormac released “Gone,” one of the best tracks of his career to date. Evoking the neon-hued nightclubs of the ‘80s and the sleek aesthetic of icons like Pet Shop Boys and The Human League, his breathy, soulful vocal turn sees the artist fully inhabiting the role of the popstar, the frontman and the icon. x3butterfly’s ascent over the last few years has been nothing short of breathtaking. A galvanizing DJ with a seemingly limitless capacity for genre exploration, x3 brings an elevated craft, a degree of unbridled curiosity and a surplus of swagger to the booth. Will Automagic takes a break from his main gig as one half of The Carry Nation for a special solo set. One of NY’s all-time greats, Automagic is a dyed-in-the-wool DJ whose work, both as an artist and curator / organizer, has been instrumental in shaping NY’s club renaissance. ■ No photos or videos ■ Ticket purchase does not guarantee entrance ■ No phone use on the dancefloor ■ The dance floor is for dancing, not conversation ■ No glowing/flashing clothes or items ■ Respect other people's space, no shuffling ■ Consent is mandatory ■ Zero tolerance for racism, homophobia, transphobia, sexism, ableism or any form of discrimination ■ Take care of each other, alert our staff if somebody isn't feeling well ■ Violating the house rules will result in removal PLEASE REVIEW HOUSE POLICIES AT LINK BELOW
