SF's own Big Happy is reuniting legendary duo Kon (Boston) & DJ Amir (Berlin) for his birthday celebration and giving the dancefloor the gift of House + Disco gems. Kon & Amir have spent decades digging through the world's record bins, uncovering rare and overlooked sounds spanning disco, funk, soul, jazz, Latin, House, and Hip Hop. Their influential On Track mixtape series and Off Track compilations on BBE establish them as two of the most respected selectors in the game. Kon's sought-after edits and productions have become dancefloor anthems, while Amir's work with Fat Beats and Wax Poetics reflects a lifelong dedication to music discovery and preservation. Amir also founded 180 Proof Records, a label and archival project dedicated to preserving and reintroducing Strata’s catalog. Together, they bring an encyclopedic knowledge of records and gems to the dancefloor. San Francisco's Mr. Big Happy is a Mexican-American DJ, artist, and lifelong record digger (and sassy Scorpio) whose all-vinyl sets move between underground house, disco, boogie, funk, and global sounds. Known for weaving forgotten and under-the-radar cuts into unexpected musical journeys, he hosts a monthly show on NTS Radio and holds a residency at Gold Line in Los Angeles. Once described by Questlove as "a DJ's DJ's DJ," Big Happy has also joined Stones Throw Records for his soon-to-be-dropping compilation Double LP. Custom sound design by BRPL. Big Happy + Kon & DJ Amir going deep behind the decks!!!!
