House Hafla هاوس حفلة takes over Buddies in Bad Times Theatre for its fifth edition on Saturday, Sep 26. Built around bold and adventurous electronic sounds from SWANA and beyond, House Hafla moves freely between house, disco, techno, garage, funk and global club sounds, with live instrumentation and whatever else feels right in the room. At the heart of the night is the selection: thoughtful lineups, unexpected combinations of DJs from different scenes, and a dancefloor that feels free, energetic and alive. Drawing from the pulse of the Egyptian underground and the vibrancy of the global club scene, she blends Arabic rhythms with amapiano, afro house, GQOM, and techno - inviting every listener into a space of both movement and meaning. SHEN Hailing from Cairo and Dubai, and currently making waves in Toronto's dynamic music scene. With a profound appreciation for both traditional and modern music, Shen’s performances serve as a bridge between diverse musical worlds, uniting sounds from the East and the West, the past and the present.
