On Friday, September 18, PeakTime and Toscana Records come together at El Espacio Listening Bar for a night with Istanbul-based DJ and producer Baban. Active since 2019, Baban has developed a sound that moves between house, minimal and jazz, with warm textures, vocals and a strong focus on atmosphere. His music has been released on labels including Podvodo Records, and in 2023 he co-founded Lowkey Recordings in Budapest. Over the past few years, Baban has played across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Australia and Africa, with appearances at venues and festivals including TBA Brooklyn, Flash DC, Aoyama Hachi Tokyo, Melt South Korea, Fabrika Festival Tunisia and Why Not Zanzibar.
