'A lasting memorial to energy and enterprise' SELN Recordings presents a special UK outing with EBM vanguards Years of Denial, joint in tandem with Belgian Industrial and Rhythmic noise legend Imminent (formerly Imminent Starvation) as part of the ever expanding Celebrating New Industrial event series. YEARS OF DENIAL Years of Denial is the project of French musician Jerome Tcherneyan, in former times drummer of cult British band Piano Magic and music producer since 1997, and Czech performance & music artist, lyricist, and singer-songwriter Barkosina Hanusova. Active since 2016 the duo has become known globally for their well-crafted sharp productions and electrifying live performances. IMMINENT From the early 90s Olivier Moreau's musical output has always been on the razors’ edge of Industrial and Techno. While contacts and exchanges between the scenes were sparse, he built bridges between the two switching from one to the other with ease. With his Imminent Starvation project he merged both styles to new levels. After the release of his 'Nord' album, he shortened his moniker to Imminent while sharpening and modernising his sound. On the podium his many live actions around the globe have fulfilled his reputation by leaving his audience exhausted and ecstatic after his powerful and merciless sets. This show marks Imminent's first return to Manchester in over 20 years - not to be missed. ESMÉ West Yorkshire based Esmé is an established vinyl-only DJ and firm favourite on the northern underground scene. Demonstrating an uncanny ability to blend across wide-ranging timbres, tempos and time signatures; her eclectic and emotionally driven sound has placed her alongside the likes of Marco Shuttle and Radioactive Man, whilst also frequenting legendary bass events such as Rupture and Subdub. She’s particularly embedded within the Manchester scene, where she holds residencies at Bent Hedonism and Chorus, besides hosting a bi-monthly CROP Radio show. CONRAD PACK + DJ GONZ Conrad Pack and DJ Gonz run SELN Recordings, based in South London. Having built up their own focused and dub-enriched take on Techno, the pair will open the night in fitting form, sound-track style. There is a limited number of free tickets available for those who are unwaged / on UC. Please email selnrecordings@gmail.com to reserve one. This event will be livestreamed [audio only] via celebratingnewindustrial.com. Kindly supported by Arts Council England.
