Live and in front of a live audience, discover sets by RBC SOUNDSYSTEM, Blakkstar, Trash Mc Queen and Om Unit, a British artist and producer best known for his ‘Acid Dub Studies’ album series. __________________________________ ★ More than 10 years have passed since that first trip to England, where our love of sound systems was born, and the pilgrimage to the Notting Hill Carnival, which further strengthened our attachment to the roots of the scene. Here we are now in 2026, and Ried CardBoard Sound – aka RCB Sound – has been born. At the heart of the project lay a simple desire: to build something genuine and authentic. So, over several months – amidst the wood, brass, paint, successes and mistakes – our handcrafted sound system slowly came to life. Musically, the selection ranges from roots reggae, dub, jungle and drum & bass, with a particular fondness for British sounds. To mark the occasion, we’re bringing you a Reggae/Dub selection ranging from the 70s to more recent releases from the last few years, for a gentle start to the evening in good spirits. See you soon in front of the speakers! ★ Producer, DJ and live performer, Om Unit has been exploring electronic music for nearly two decades. Blending breaks, techno, dub, jungle, footwork and ambient, he has forged a distinctive sound system style. As Philip D Kick, he was among the first to bridge jungle and footwork. From ‘Threads’ to the ‘Acid Dub Studies’ series, he has played over 500 shows in 30+ countries. His eclectic sound moves from slow-motion beats to acid, dub and techno, defying easy labels. ★ Blakkstar is an Anglo-Ghanaian DJ based between London and Strasbourg. As the new resident DJ on the Strasbourg-based web radio station Z.EST with her radio show Éclectia, Serena (aka Blakkstar) navigates the genres of jungle, dub and UK bass to create sets that’ll have you skanking! ★ Trash McQueen (they/them) is a young DJ on the Strasbourg scene and a new resident at @zest.radio. Still deeply rooted in their punk heritage, raised on old dancehall cassettes, and a trained violinist and bassist, their influences are varied and a bit of a mishmash. The dancefloor becomes a free, queer, joyful and political space, rocked by breaks and shaped by basslines. Their sets clearly show a penchant for UK music, particularly UKG, DnB and Jungle. __________________________________ Room 𝓰𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓮𝓻𝔂 Limited pre-sales / Tickets at the door.
