On November 6, LIFT returns to Shibuya O-EAST 3F. This time, we welcome Absis from Spain and YUKIMASA from Tokyo. Active since the late ’90s, Absis is a resident artist at MOSTRA Festival in Barcelona. Our connection with Absis began when Ryosuke Tsuchiya was working as a sound engineer at Les Chaos Ambiants (@chaosambiants), an outdoor rave in Lyon, France. After hearing his set there, we immediately felt that his sound would fit perfectly on the LIFT floor. I had already been a big fan of his releases and mixes, and we have spent almost a year planning to bring him to LIFT. With his enthusiastic support, we are very happy that it is finally happening. Our other guest is YUKIMASA, founder of Force and owner of Paradigm Records. He played at the very first LIFT in 2021 and gave us a lot of advice when we first started. We still feel his influence in what LIFT has become today. Absis and YUKIMASA also played together earlier this year at “Midline,” hosted by Absis at LAUT. The following day, November 7, we will travel to Seoul with Absis for another LIFT at Vurt. Vurt. residents SUZAN and SJK will join us, with SUZAN opening and SJK closing the night. We are very happy to share the booth with two talented DJs from a new generation at Vurt. Vurt. has also become something like a second home for LIFT, and we are excited to return after one year. This will be Absis’ first Asia tour, with only two shows: Tokyo and Seoul. Whether you already know his music or are hearing his name for the first time, we hope you can experience his sound on the LIFT floor.
