Join Zellers, a Toronto-based DJ, producer & founder of some of the city’s illest rave havens, who will set you up with all must-have info to start spinning your favourite tunes. We'll begin with an overview of the different technical setups you may encounter and a tutorial on how to assemble your own DJ library before diving into a live demonstration of some basic transitions with hands-on practice time. Zellers is best known for founding Canada’s largest trans rave series Metamorphosis which boasts 100% trans programming and co-founding QuedUp, an open decks series and performance practice platform for emerging DJs. He’s unequivocally rave, having emerged from post-pandemic DIY scenes, he’s lit dance floors all across North America on fire with heavy hitters spanning from lovey trance to moody garage to disorienting psychedelic techno. He’s an experienced mentor who’s devoted to undermining gatekeeping and helping peers fall deeper and deeper in love with their favourite music through the art of DJing.
