Melt returns for its’ 4th installment at Club 1722, this time joined by special guests Baronhawk Poitier and Deniz. Baronhawk Poitier is your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ. Catching one of his sets often feels like a spiritual experience- the way he moves between sounds, eras, and genres is both natural and ecstatic, a real celebration of the Black Diaspora that feels like a channeling of some higher power. Long mentored by Baltimore don Karizma, Baronhawk’s knowledge of the music he spins is both vast and formidable; he’s a dedicated student of the game before anything else. But if there’s one word to describe his sound, it would simply be “Joyous”. Baronhawk is one of my all time favorite DJs, and I hope you’ll welcome him as he makes his 1722 debut. Deniz is the kind of DJ that can open up new worlds for any listener. A proud Istanbul native, Deniz moved to the states to pursue her education, but soon found herself cutting her teeth in Atlanta’s dance scene, starting her first party series and DJing alongside some of the city’s best. Since moving up the coast, she’s quickly made a name for herself in the DMV, PA, and Philly, running the popular Nightcap party in Lancaster. Her sets are carefully constructed and momentous, marked with a level of grace and precision that many selectors can only aspire to. I’m very excited to welcome Deniz for her 1722 debut- you do not want to miss out.
