As autumn settles in, the days grow shorter and the season turns us inward. A time for slowing down, paying closer attention, and finding new ways of listening. Subterra presents: Echoes from the Core ₀₃. Our deep listening series returns to De Kern, our acoustically treated communal space two levels underground in a former nuclear bunker in the center of The Hague. Powered by a custom 3D-printed sound system by Addit Audio, Echoes from the Core creates space to experience music collectively, away from the distractions of the outside world. Each gathering invites an artist to share a meaningful album in full, followed by a DJ or live set that draws from and expands upon its sonic world. A practice in attention, immersion, and shared discovery. For this gathering, we welcome Woody92 (Omen Wapta), a Delft-born and based DJ and multidisciplinary artist whose sets move through leftfield electronics, hypnotic techno, and radiant minimalism. With a background in fine arts and graphic design, his approach to music is shaped by a fascination with aesthetics, history, and the reinterpretation of electronic sounds. In 2021, he founded Omen Wapta, a label and creative platform bringing together music, art, and design through a close-knit network of artists and collaborators.
